The pursuit of creative endeavors is no longer a virtue only accessible to the elite, it now presents itself as a quest for those who see art where art should not exist. Reda Ait Chegou’s passion for art, fashion and cinema stems from a desire to construct a narrative that upholds the diversity exhibited in contemporary society. Her talents demonstrated in the creative direction, production and curation in the luxury, fashion and music industries coupled with a desire to create an outlet for unorthodox innovation; were catalysts in the founding of the annual publication Draft001, where she takes on the roles of Editor-in-Chief & Artistic Director. In addition to her publishing efforts, she worked in parallel as an associate for the agency Hybra, which represented personalities and artists of modern French culture such as Yseult, Kiddy Smile, Pam Boy, Candela Capitàn, Nicolas Huchard, Lucky Love or Rokhaya Diallo. It is within these two professional projects that she finds the way to elaborate on her radical vision, her requirement on the questions of representation and her involvement in the creation of a space in media for creators and talents who are ostracized from the academic circuits and who are not aligned with industry standards. She recently shifted her focus towards launching her own image strategy and consulting agency while continuing to develop her independent annual publication, Draft001.
